History
Founded in 2011, Clinic in the Park: One‐Stop Shop for Health is a volunteer pediatrician‐led project. The project got its start with funding from the Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) Program, a national initiative of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and Orange County Pediatricians.
Mission
The mission of Clinic in the Park is to help Orange County’s most vulnerable families find the resources they need to keep their children safe and healthy. By participating in community events, Clinic in the Park helps to bridge pediatrics and public health consistent with the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures Guidelines for Health Supervision. Our long-term goal is to contribute to optimizing the health and well-being of children in Orange County’s at-risk communities.
Our primary focus in on keeping kids safe from preventable injuries. We do that by hosting child health workshops & webinars, and distributing essential safety equipment (car seats, booster seats, bicycle helmets, life jackets, etc.) free of charge to families in Orange County’s most underserved communities.
